Nicole Ari Parker Kodjoe is an American actress and model. She made her screen debut with the lead role in the critically acclaimed independent film Two Girls' Real Adventures in Love and has gone on to appear in director Paul Thomas Anderson's Boogie Nights. Parker has starred in a number of films, including Blue Streak, Remember the Titans, Brown Sugar, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins, Black Dynamite, and Almost Christmas. On television, Parker starred as lawyer Teri Joseph in the Showtime Soul Food television series, in which she received five NAACP Award nominations for Best Actress in a Television Series. She also starred in the short romantic comedy UPN Second Time Around and the TV drama ABC Time After Time. In 2017, she joined the cast of the TV series Empire as Giselle Barker. She is currently appearing as a recurring figure in Chicago P.D. in the role of Deputy Director Samantha Miller.
