Katherine Sarafian is an American film producer.

She is the daughter of Alice, who is active in San Leandro civic affairs, and Richard Sarafian, Jr., who was a pastor of the Saint Vartan Armenian Church of Oakland. She is married to visual effects specialist Meher Gourjian, with whom she has two children.

Katherine’s paternal grandfather was named Richard Sarafian. Richard was Armenian.

Katherine’s paternal grandmother was Mary Kalunian (the daughter of Martin Kalunian and Mary Moomgian). Katherine’s grandmother Mary was born in California, to Armenian parents.

Katherine’s maternal grandfather was Luther C. Izmirian (the son of Charles Izmirian and Datenik). Luther was born in New York, to Armenian parents.
