January Jones is an American actress and model. Her roles include the films American Wedding, We Are Marshall, The Boat That Rocked, Unknown (2011), X-Men: First Class, and Seeking Justice, and the shows Mad Men and The Last Man on Earth.

She is the daughter of Karen, a store manager, and Marvin Jones, an exercise physiologist. She was raised partly in Hecla, SD. January has a son.

January’s paternal grandfather was Roger Maurice Jones (the son of Richard Hugh Jones and Mary Ellen Jones). Roger was born in South Dakota. Richard was the son of David R. Jones, who was of Welsh descent, and of Margaret Ann Roberts, who was English. Mary Ellen was the daughter of Welsh parents, David H. Jones and Mary Griffiths.

January’s paternal grandmother was Emma Christine Sejnoha (the daughter of Rudolph Sejnoha and Emma F. Pavlish). Emma was born in South Dakota. Rudolph was the son of Joseph Pepic Sejnoha, who was Moravian/Czech, and of Christine Hakl, who was born in South Dakota, to Moravian/Czech parents. Emma was also born in South Dakota, also to Czech parents, Anton Pavlish and Frances Marecek.

January’s maternal grandfather was Richard Arthur Cox (the son of Clayton Walter Cox and Hazel Helen Rowley). Richard was born in South Dakota. Clayton was the son of Charles Wesley Cox and Calista Maude Barber. Hazel was the daughter of Samuel Wells Rowley and Madora Thomas.

January’s maternal grandmother was Rosezella/Roselle Bernice Hanson/Hansen (the daughter of Hans Jorgen Hanson/Hansen and Mabel Dagmar Jensen). Rosezella was born in Denver Township, South Dakota. Her parents were also born in South Dakota, both of them to Danish parents.
