He is known for his roles as FBI agent Jack Crawford in Manhunter, bandit Jimmy Serrano in the comedy Midnight Run, Ray "Bones" Barboni in Get Shorty and Cousin Avi in Snatch. He starred on television as Lieutenant Mike Torello in Crime Story and as NYPD Detective Joe Fontana in Law & Order. From 2008 to 2010, he hosted and reported for the TV program Unsolved Mysteries on Spike TV. Her last main TV role was in Luck of HBO, which premiered on January 29, 2012 .
