He is the son of Marlena Yannetti, an actress and dancer, and Larry Atamanuik, a Canadian musician.

Anthony’s surname is Ukrainian.

Anthony’s maternal grandfather was Gildo Anthony/Antonio Yannetti (the son of Gildo Fedele Amatino “Martin” Iannetti/Yannetti and Theresa/Teresa L. Gioiosa). Anthony’s grandfather Gildo was born in Massachusetts. Anthony’s great-grandfather Gildo was born in Carpineto della Nora, Abruzzo, the son of Antonio Iannetti and Maria Pignoli. Teresa was also Italian.
